	Description
	This business is seeking to appoint a Hygiene Manager to ensure that cleaning schedules and standards are managed and maintained. The Hygiene Manager will manage a team of direct reports and will have responsibility for a broad range of activities including, day-to-day Hygiene, Laundry, Deep Clean (strip machines and clean), and the co-ordination of outsourced Hygiene and Site Services (Plant Hygiene Schedules, COSHH/Chemicals, Pest Control, Waste Removal, Tray Wash). Managing the site Hygiene System, the jobholder will ensure that all documentation is available and effectively communicated to other departments and stakeholders. Responsibilities include: accompanying the Company Technical Manager on Hygiene Audit Inspections and being available for Internal Quality System Audits as required. The appointed Hygiene Manager will ensure that all staff are familiar with: Health and Safety regulations and requirements, and COSHH and Disciplinary regulations. The jobholder will ensure that direct reports are recruited, trained, developed and understand their accountabilities. The jobholder will be required to demonstrate effective management of the team, ensure that cleaning schedules are completed (daily & weekly), ensure training records are maintained, and complete all necessary documentation to ensure legal compliance and In-house standards are met. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years-experience of Managing Hygiene Teams within a Food Manufacturing environment, coupled to experience of co-ordinating the activities of on-site contractors. Membership of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) would assist your application.
