This business is seeking to appoint a Lead Quality Technician, who can work with another QA as part of a small team. The role is immediately available and will involve working Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm. The position will have a great deal of autonomy and the range of day-to-day duties will be broad, as the Technical team is small and each team member is trained in all aspects of the Quality and Technical function.
The Lead Quality Technician will check raw materials/goods-in, perform in-process checks, and finished product/good-out quality checks. The Lead Quality Technician will work closely with Production and assist them in their activities within a fast-moving food manufacturing environment. Other duties undertaken will include: Microbiology activity, internal auditing, carrying out technical Investigations, monitoring and compliance of Critical Control Point’s, ensuring compliance with specifications, hygiene monitoring and generally supporting the Quality and Technical function.
The Lead Quality Technician will work days Monday to Friday and will apply a ‘hands on approach’, where they will be visible on the factory floor, facilitating Quality improvement and increasing Quality awareness within a busy food production environment.
We are seeking a determined character with a passion for Quality, possessing good interpersonal skills, and flexibility to align with the companies work requirements during busy periods. It is expected that applicants will have the maturity to work under a minimum of supervision and have great attention to detail. Experience of a High-Risk Food Manufacturing would benefit your application. A suitable candidate for this role will need a minimum of 2 years experience gained within the Technical function of a Food Manufacturing business, combined with an extensive Microbiology understanding/experience. The Salary is £25,000 pa - £27,000 pa + Contributory Pension + Benefits – Monday to Friday
