A successful family-owned business that supplies its products to a range of customers including Retailers, Foodservice, Manufacturers, and Wholesalers.
Monday to Friday – Days (Early finish every Friday)
Reporting into the Technical manager, the Packaging Coordinator will be the main point of contact regarding all Packaging matters. They will ensure all packaging materials used are compliant with food safety, food quality and packaging legislation. The Packaging Coordinator will work closely with customers to develop innovative packaging solutions and offer robust technical advice. They will also sit on NPD teams and support operations with all packaging related enquiries.
There will be a requirement to maintain a packaging supplier and approved materials database, lead investigations into packaging non-conformance and implement corrective actions. The Packaging Coordinator will have accountability for managing the Packaging Supplier list and this will include packaging supplier audits, ensure packaging supplier information is up-to-date and ensuring packaging materials entering site meet specifications and are legally compliant.
The Packaging Coordinator will develop packaging label design, make checks, then approve final label design. Their performance will be measured on compliance with the packaging supplier audit programme, turnaround times on Legal Labelling and the meeting of annual performance targets within the Packaging function.
We are seeking to hear from a Packaging professional with good ‘all round’ Packaging knowledge covering Labelling & Packaging Regulations, Packaging Material Selection, Packaging Supplier Management and Packaging Compliance. Food Packaging would be an ideal background, but we would also consider candidates with Packaging experience gained from within: FMCG, Beverages, Cosmetics, Perfumery, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Personal Care, Household Products.
